About me

Hi, I'm Carol.

I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor with more than 30 years of experience as a psychotherapist, and I've had an independent practice in Dothan since October 2007.

As a solution-focused therapist, my goal is to help you uncover your true potential and lead a life that is worth celebrating. I offer support and practical feedback, and I combine complementary methods to fit each person I work with.

I began as a school counselor in Wisconsin and then in Oklahoma, before moving into private practice. With compassion and understanding, I help each person build on their strengths and reach the growth they're committed to.

My path

From Wisconsin to Dothan

I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and completed an internship through the University of Wisconsin-Stout. I was certified by the National Board for Certified Counselors in 1984, licensed as a Professional Counselor in Oklahoma in 1996, and licensed in Alabama after moving here with my family. I joined a group practice in 2000, and have had my own practice since October 2007.

  • Additional training in substance abuse, eating disorders and attention deficit disorders.
  • Training in mediation and conflict resolution.
  • Personal and group crisis management.
  • Experience with schools, community agencies and medical providers.
